Access an element which is invisible in UISpy?

Jan 18, 2010 at 10:05 AM

is it possible to access an element, which in UISpy, UIAVerify, AutoIT3Info,
WinSpector and WinID is not visible? When I click on the item with ctrl + left mouse, I get an ControlType.Pane in UISpy.

window.LogStructure(); has unfortunately also brought nothing. It shows me exactly the same UI-elements as UISpy does.

Apparently I can not reach the table behind /inside / whatever (do not know how to describe it) the Pane.

EDIT - oh, I wanted to edit my first post only, not post another. :D

i have the same progblem, nothing can see an element, i used UISpy UIAVerify and WhiteRecorder.

i am using win 7 64bit ultimate. i'll try to write 32bit edition and see if it works.

LogStructure() doesn't see it too,

when i use WhiteRecorder and press Record button and then press the button which i wan't to get in my test program, white recorder say that tab element in the top of program was presed.

same problem

but this is in my opinion not a white problem, this might be an Windows Automation problem, or  it is a problem in the application himself.

if the custom control or what ever this element is don't support Windows Automation you can't see it in the LogStructure and so on.

But the question is what can I say to the developer to solve this issue?

I have the same question in the Windows Automation in the MSDN Forum
