White getting timed out running after some time

Jul 1, 2011 at 8:20 AM

My White library console Test Application is testing a .net windows application..

It was running fine for all these days ..

But now when it test a particular form its throwing the below error and getting timed out..  :(

"Couldn't find window with title in process 3316, after waiting for 5000 ms "

some time if the test runs with out the above error.. but still it takes a long time ecspeacially on combo boxes .. white is taking more time...

What could be the reason ?? any idea ..

please advice

thanks in advance

it takes long to find a combobox or perform operations on it.

do you have add white to your app.config file?

There you can increase time-outs  to handle such problems

thanks Throndorin..

I am able to solve the timeout issue by increasing the

PopupTimeout from 5000 to 25000

Do we have a document which describes about the different configuration properties ...

Hi

if you get the files from svn there is a folder docs containing a file White-Core.doc, look at chapter Configuration.

Hi even after increasing there are some cases where i am getting null value when i try to get some UI controls from my window.....

any other stuff should i try???

Yes i have added white in my app.config file

For example i am clicking a button to move to another view...

button.click();

//Expecting will be form2 is loaded

labeltest = window.get <**&*&>(&^**);

//some time this labeltest is getting null

now for solving that i am keeping a Thread.Sleep(3000); after button click

but i wonder if it is running in a low performance pc.. again it may fail....

is there any alternate solution instead of  Thread.sleep  ???

That time i am trying to get the text of a label...
