Hi, I've searched and searched yet have not found any semblance of an answer for,"how does a beginner implement white" Enviornment: VS2008 Steps: Download the White zip file Extract zip file Now what? Is there a folder/location I'm supposed to put these binaries? Any other information I will need to get started? Thank you, I'm really lost here.

Hi

the location of the binarys is your decision :)

1. Step: extract the binarys

2. create a simple project (Class Library)

3. Reference White.Core.dll, White.Nunit in your Visual Studio Solution, if more needed you will see it in the build error

3. create a simple class with nunit structure

using NUnit.Framework;
using White.Core;
using White.Core.Factory;
using White.Core.UIItems.WindowItems;

namespace ETS4SystemTest.DashBoard.Projects
{
  [TestFixture]
  public class Class1
  {
    //main window
    private Window _main;
    [SetUp]
    public void Start()
    {
      Application app = Application.Launch( "path to application under test" );
      _main = app.GetWindow( "Main Window title", InitializeOption.NoCache );
    }

    [TearDown]
    public void End()
    {
      _main.Close();
    }

    [Test]
    public void Test()
    {
      // some test things
      Assert.NotNull( _main );

    }
  }
}
